I wanted to add a thread for the Whitfield Estates owners, as I hadn't seen a thread yet...

Good thinking....Greetings to all in this THP mess...

Raise your hand if you are tired of all these dumpsters!!! I feel this is a quality of life issue here. Tired of seeing the same old people looking for scrap, kids playing within, and the locals dumping their own trash!!! How can we get rid of these things!!!!

Hi Fellow Sleepy Hollow'er,

I fear that they will remain until they get paid or need their dumpsters back!

Lord I hope not. Its such an eyesore. Maybe we all call the township enough they might have some pull with someone to have them removed. The money is now owed, what's a few more bucks to add to their bill???

Default Roads

Has anyone contacted the township to find out about top coating our roads? Hopefully there is some type of bond in place from THP to cover the completion.

I had contacted Upper Macungie over the winter several times when the roads were not plowed and THP was not answering their phones. Upper Macungie did say they had a bond from THP to guarantee completion of the roads but not for maintaining the roads. At that time the Township wasn't very helpful, they told me it was between THP and the homeowners. They only got involved when Parkland complained about trouble the busses were having getting to the bus stops. Hopefully the Township will be more proactive now and not let this drag on according to THP's timeline.

Default Driveway at Sales Model

Did anyone else notice THP employees putting in a driveway at the Whitfield Sales Model today? I'm out of town but my wife said there were THP trucks there today and they were putting in the driveway. She said she was almost certain it was not a paving contractor but THP employees. If everyone was laid off without pay who were these guys? If these are contractors who would be dumb enough to work for them after yesterday?

Default model driveway

I know that the victoria driveway is not owed by thp a private invester owns it. They were only leasing it from him. So it could have been his contractors doing the work.

Acutally, that is not all I'm worried about, but responding to the thread. The property is solid and I don't believe that there will be major fluctuations in values, other than a short term blip.

I've moved my family here to live long term, so it's not an investment property and while the builders may go under, the homes, construction and layout of the property is attractive and solid. I think we'll be fine after working out the immediate issues.

I'm more worried about folks that have partially completed construction or have deposits on yet to be started homes.
