Default TH Properties and Customer Service - a warning to all homebuyers and an open letter.

I believe all new homebuyers of TH Properties homes should be aware of this.

Think you will still get service?

Think you will matter once you sign over your hard earned money?

Think your development will ever get done under THP's watch?

Please, allow me to share this email that I sent to the Trustee, all of the representation for TH Properties and the committee.

Save the date. 12/03/09. Go to court. Do something.

Natalie et all,

As a homeowner of a TH Properties home that settled March 6th 2009, I find myself with an incomplete home and liens,

Today, I was trying to pursue customer service related issues in an effort to find some peace in my home.

In reviewing court filings and documents, it is often stated that TH Properties has maintained a staff to address customer issues and handle inquiries. In fact, it is my understanding that THP has budgeted staff to address new homeowner issues (i.e., those homeowners that have or will close subsequent to the filing of the bankruptcy). However, despite these claims, I have found that THP is unwilling and/or unable to respond to my requests for service.
Case in point, this message from Jason Dickey, a TH Properties Customer Service Rep, conflicts strongly with what is put forth in court filings.

I would appreciate your response and insight to this matter.

Afternoon Ed,

Currently THP is under a suspension of operations for any/all service related items. THP is actively pursuing the restart of service in its various communities. We deeply appreciate the patience and support of so many of our homeowners. If you or someone you know who lives in a THP home has any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Thank you,

Jason

"We are working diligently with vendors and lenders to develop a restructuring plan that includes an agreement by the mechanics lien holders to release liens against completed homes. Our discussions have been encouraging, and we intend to see that all legal action is taken to ensure that no homeowner is unfairly burdened by these liens. We continue to specifically address this issue in our discussions. Our goal is to reach the best possible outcome for all parties as soon as possible."

Default Some want to do the right thing

This may be off topic a bit. I talked to Dave at THP a while ago. I asked him point blank if THP would ever top coat my driveway. I was told that there are SOME at THP who still wanted to do the right thing. That is honor their obligations to the homeowners.

I guess that means there are SOME at THP that want to continue to screw us over. Besides leaving their debts behind I guess that they want to leave behind their past promises and committments.

Dave didn't say ALL OF THP wanted to do the right thing just SOME. I wonder which side Jason is on?

And the "some" do not matter one iota if the 2 clowns at the top aren't willing to do the right thing.

This is a top down problem.

The negligence and unwillingness to care even one bit about their customer base is continued proof that nothing will change.

There were so many opportunities to do things "right" along the way, yet, the principals of TH Properties continue to only look out for one thing - their PERSONAL best interest.

Some may say, that's business, but, that's not the kind of business that... stays around.

Vendors allowed to hold liens on one home, while finishing the next. Neighborhoods left with apparent stolen cars left to sit in the dark of night. No service. No warranties.

No value.

TH Properties needs to start rethinking this process or they will build, but, no one will buy.

It doesn't matter what we think or don't think...The problem is that for those of us that have deposits down and our money was not put into escrow, we have nothing else to do but have hope. Hope that they build so we don't loose our deposits, hope they go into chapter 7 so we can recoup part of our deposit. I know plenty of people in the developments that don't have service and have unfinished homes, but hope is all we have.... Since we are now starting the Holiday Season maybe TH Properties will give us the gift of resolving this BIG MESS that they made.

I love reading the update on their website regarding THP thanking current and new homebuyers for their support. Wait, did I miss something?? Who are the current homeowners showing support to THP and where the hell is the support from THP to current homeowners? We want to know when Tim and Todd are going to be held responsible for their criminal actions. What is wrong with the system? Why are we being screwed? Liens and unfinished homes. What am I missing? Thanks Tim and Todd for the interesting read on your webpage. What a joke. I stand outside everyday and watch with disgust the homes being worked on and ours being left untouched. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to us--maybe instead of buying our kids gifts we can pay to finish our house--FOR A SECOND TIME or pay the lien that is against our house.

I think we should pool our money and give the brothers more pay everyweek. THEY REALLY DO DESERVE IT. LOL

Default I hope everyone gets what they want.

If it's a THP home, then, by all means.

THP should have built it a very, very, very long time ago.

But, it should be seen for what it is. Not the lies that TH(P) continues to put forth.

Customer service is even touted in Davidson's marketing material. What customer service?

This email is not fabricated.

It was supplied direct as a response from a THP employee. The one that was the HEAD of "customer service" none the less.

Ironic, dontcha think?

Finish what you started and what you owe THP, and go far, far away.
