Default Another fall out from TH Properties - foreclosures?

Foreclosure filings up 20 percent - The ReporterBusiness: Serving North Penn, Indian Valley and neighboring communities

Quote:
About 1,600 new foreclosures are attributed to Harleysville-based home builder TH Properties, according to a Prothonotary employee.
Can we be done yet?

Can a reorganization plan that actually puts CUSTOMERS first, not Hendricks, be put forth yet?

Haven't the principals of the bankrupt TH Properties done enough?

"We are working diligently with vendors and lenders to develop a restructuring plan that includes an agreement by the mechanics lien holders to release liens against completed homes. Our discussions have been encouraging, and we intend to see that all legal action is taken to ensure that no homeowner is unfairly burdened by these liens. We continue to specifically address this issue in our discussions. Our goal is to reach the best possible outcome for all parties as soon as possible."

Default The Reporter got something wrong

It's impossible that 1600 foreclosures were filed due to THP. In their best year, they didn't sell more than 600 homes.

What I think The Reporter meant was there were 1600 CIVIL filings due to THP. This would cover things like mechanics liens and other civil matters filed due to the financial implosion of the company.

This is a sad example of how poor journalism has become. Where's the editor? That's right! The Journal Register Company (owner of The Reporter) filed Chapter 11 too!

1600 CIVIL cases it truly remarkable! GREAT JOB TIM AND TODD!

Ultimately I think you may be right, but the foreclosure filings are more likely attributable to banks attempting to relcaim project property....not necessarily homeowners defaulting.

Default Agreed

Or some type of a twist of low home values, no work for former employees, etc etc...

But either way, as everyone here knows, the actions of TH Properties are felt wide and far.

Let's go TH(P).

How about a reorg plan that puts CUSTOMERS first?

If you have happy customers, you (could) have a happy business.

Default But Remember

Top home sales for THP in a year is 600 homes...But you have to remember the fall out is far reaching....I attribute those statistics to not only THP homes, but also vendors who have been forced into bankruptcy due to the money owed to them..
