Default Six month anniversary... Six, unreal months.

Wow.

Half a year since this all started.

What can be said that hasn't already?

If anything, the 27th is around the corner.

Also, today is the last real full day of being able to work on claims, so, keep that in mind as well.

I'm still waiting, THP :

"We are working diligently with vendors and lenders to develop a restructuring plan that includes an agreement by the mechanics lien holders to release liens against completed homes. Our discussions have been encouraging, and we intend to see that all legal action is taken to ensure that no homeowner is unfairly burdened by these liens. We continue to specifically address this issue in our discussions. Our goal is to reach the best possible outcome for all parties as soon as possible."

Please - I can't stress this enough to some of the new people that are either visiting for the first time or coming back again due to the events likely to unfold over the next few days.

This is a very homeowner-centric experience on this forum.

A support forum of sorts.

There are people here without homes. Incomplete neighborhoods. Those with homes, but incomplete and / or with liens. Those that found the answers they needed along the way that were delivered homes through this bankruptcy process - yet, had to put their lives on hold for TH Propeties. The first home was supposed to settle June 15th. That date came and went and unfortunately, that family did not settle until mid July.

Perspective is a big theme here and it goes a long way.

There is SO much to read and you can easily get lost in the emotions and posts of the day to day banters of people living this.

If you have ANY questions, or would like to reach out, please, contact me at webmaster@wheresbuilder.com and it will be kept with the strictest of confidence.

I only float this message out in hopes that some of these new visitors would like to become more acquainted with how this process "really" is going for THP's most important entity - their customers.

I often wonder if this would have taken this long if they would have been forced into Chapter 7 a long time ago. I have to believe that if another contractor had stepped in that there would be a lot more people receiving a satisfactory ending in a reasonable amount of time.

I still believe that everyone will get their satisfactory ending, it's just unfortunate that under Chapter 11 it is going to take such a long time.

For the home owners, my gut tells me everything will be ok in the end, but will take more time.

The downside to a Chapter 7 is that existing homeowners would then have no hope of ever getting any relief from liens, warranty issues, etc.....not that they have up to this point, but at least any reorganization plan will have that as a contingency.
