Here is an article in The Town and Country newspaper from Oct. 15 about snow plowing in Northgate.
http://www.upvnews.com/ Upper Hanover township is refusing to plow our development - do we not all pay the same taxes? Also, I find it hard to believe the schools will allow the children to be absent everytime it snows because the bus can not pick up the children and the parents can not get out of the development to drive them. The township says the banks own the property - not THP and not them. DOes anyone know which banks own Phase I and II of Northgate? Maybe we can get some action by contacting them. Not to mention an ambulance, police, etc can not get in the development to rescue its citizens if needed ( ex, heart attack, mother going into labor, etc) |

I would like to know why we have to pay the full amt. of our HOA dues that is still run by THP? It is suppose to go towards trash removal, snow plowing & street lights. We don't have any lights, we were just informed they will not be plowing.....where is this money going if we're not getting the services it's suppose to be going towards?

Yeah, THP did all Westport Farm Hatfield plowing last year also. The "plow" was a bulldozer, and it left HUGE chunks of curb missing. They were very careless, and now the bond money will not fix these missing chunks. It is considered "cosmetic". I bet, when I go to sell the house, and the township makes me pay, although they will not fix it themselves. Double standard. The plowing also took place well after the storms were done, and it wasn't very effective. No salting either. Hopefully Hatfield will step it up this winter and do something different for us.

Of course this makes me angry because it gave an unrealistic view of what our HOA fees would eventually need to be, but that is really beside the point right now. |

I understand where the township is coming from, but the laws contradicts itself, as far as responsibility goes.
For example: You buy a home that the township inspectors passed, and while it's in your private possession, you have another inspector come in and they find many code violations? Who is at fault? I'll say it again.. Heaven forbid an ambulance can't get into one of these developments because of the snow not being plowed. To say the township won't be included in a lawsuit is not living in reality. Of course the township solicitor is going to say it's not their responsibility. I've never yet seen a lawyer admit responsibility to anything. I'm not saying the township is responsible for plowing the snow, but they take responsibility for protecting the people they serve. |
