Edit : Update with link - Direct link to the piece online
http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/news/...ng_More_Houses (thanks radiobuck!) Edit : Update with link - Direct link to the piece online If it makes it the cut, there could be an updated perspective on how TH(P) is handling its business of recent days for the current homeowners left out in the cold with incomplete homes - paid in full, in good faith. But, after 6 months, we are supposed to be satisfied and complacent with carrots put up on their home page that they are working diligently. Enough is enough. DO IT ALREADY. STOP BUILDING HOMES THAT DONT HAVE BUYERS (complete those that do). REMOVE LIENS FROM VENDORS AND SUBS THAT YOU STIFFED, BUT, STILL SOMEHOW DO WORK FOR YOU TODAY. GET TO WORK.

If it's from davidson it's probably more marketing on the new homes being built, not a statement on thp and how they will be handling business for old homeowners. But it would be interesting to see how it's presented. Is it in regard to the homes that are in contract perhaps? The new settlers get a third party structural warranty. Different than what people have recieved from thp direct prior to bankruptcy (another unbelievable issue).

I was VERY impressed to see a state rep willing to step up to the plate and not back down and go looking for answers.
And yes, I understand the business (as do others) advantage of completing a new home, with no current buyer, for maximum profit. What does NOT make sense however is how TH(P) continually ignores their customer base by not taking funds from DIP loans to complete at LEAST outstanding items and pay off liens against homeowners that have been "unfairly burdened". Yet, there are thousands and thousands of dollars to be spent on general "overhead". Again, great piece. Nice job guys. When Fox puts it up online, I will link to it. If someone sees if first, go nuts.

Now that I think back, when I was talking to the THP worker after the one fell last week, he did say that all the homes being built will get complete homes (driveways completely done, warranties, walk throughs, etc) Makes sense now, but again, I'll try to get it scanned tomorrow |

Very well done piece.
One comment that interested me was that the bankruptcy court had orderd that the other houses be built first? Either that was a misunderstanding by the party reporting it or just a flat out misrepresentation by whomever made it. All in all, it is extremely maddening for you folks that are living in these developments and obviously something should be done about it. Again, we keep hearing that new money will help the old, but, in all honesty, even with the houses they have sold, I don't think they've even addressed anyones issues to date.

That's what people get. Now - before we start the new versus the kinda new homeowners ever popular battle.. It's no ones fault (well..) that they were (un)lucky enough to get a home post bankruptcy from TH(P). The part that confuses me is how theres not more outrage on this matter. Even if you DONT have an incomplete home, and you have to watch the new homes being built to completion... You don't have a warranty. You don't have service. You don't have a completed neighborhood. You don't have all the amenities that TH(P) said there would be. It blows my mind quite honestly that there isn't more posts like the one from Paul&Jane. They don't care about their customers. It's that simple. They don't have to. I hope this piece lit the fire under some people's asses finally to get angry enough to try to do something about it.

It's probably a good time to mention something.
THP is NOT the only parties of interest that pay attention to this website. There are others. PLEASE, if you are disgusted by this and other actions of TH(P) in the past six months, DO NOT SIT BACK AND LET OTHERS DO EVERYTHING. Don't let it wash over you. Even just a simple "yea, that sux" will suffice. The range of people that make it on here would likely blow everyones mind - TH(P) included.
