Default Anyone hear from THP in the last month?

Just wondering. The last I heard was right after the court denied the financing. I was told they "should have a game plan in about a month". That month will be up on 9/3 (from the date I got my phone call)...& nothing...I'm so tired of making phone calls & tracking this crap down...

Can I just give up, stay in bed forever, & cover my head w/ the blankets?

Oh no I can't...because it's not MY bed, & it's in a house I don't own, Oh & I need the money back to be able to live....

Curly: Amazing nothing. It'll be a regular miracle.

I wanted to start this very thread myself!

It seems like all of the two weeks, two weeks have died down quite a bit. It was just getting too ridiculous for everyone I guess.

So, anyone that is brave enough to endure the banter, what is THP saying about everything?

We all know "something" is coming - and probably soon based on all of the work being put into the site...

But, what? And how long until it becomes "real"?

"We are working diligently with vendors and lenders to develop a restructuring plan that includes an agreement by the mechanics lien holders to release liens against completed homes. Our discussions have been encouraging, and we intend to see that all legal action is taken to ensure that no homeowner is unfairly burdened by these liens. We continue to specifically address this issue in our discussions. Our goal is to reach the best possible outcome for all parties as soon as possible."

My husband talked to Dave today and has talked to him like once a week. "the game plan" is that the propsal on 3 developments are to be submitted by the end of the month. (this has been said for the past 3 weeks) We were told (a month ago) that when it is submitted to the courts, they will be able to begin construction right away (ran in the simular situation that the first 7 homes were-how? I have no clue)

Dave said, as of today, everything is on schedule to be in at the end of the month and the bank that they are working with is also submitting a proposal so there will be an agreemet on the better deal.

However, when my husband pressured for a date that this is going to "happen" he could not give one. HELLO, that is NEXT WEEK!

The other bit I found discouraging is that Dave said after the submission, the following hearing will either be disclosed or undisclosed (correct me word-age is that's not the right terms) meaning that if it is disclosed then they can begin work. If it is undisclosed then it will take ANOTHER MONTH till they can make any movement.

We don't have a month. We have been after our house in Coddington View that is 96% complete. It's sad to walk away, but they are pretty much leaving us with no choice...We"ve lost our current residence, our things are in storage, and for health reasons we needed a place to yesterday. I don't know if this really helps but this is what we've been told. ::taken with a grain of salt::

Default Two weeks, end of the month, a fortnight?

Is there a contest going on at the TH(P) office to see who can come up with the most new and exciting ways to say "Two Weeks" without actually saying "Two Weeks"? Reminds me of Super Troopers:

Foster: All right meow. Hand over your license and registration.
Foster: Your registration? Hurry up meow.
Driver: Sorry.
Foster: Is there something funny here boy?
Driver: Oh, no.
Foster: Then why you laughing, Mister... Larry Johnson?
Foster: All right meow, where were we?
Driver: Excuse me, are you saying meow?....
Foster: Am I saying meow?
Driver: I thought...
Foster: Don't think boy. Meow, do you know how fast you were going?

Default I heard from their attorneys

I received a letter the other day, which was their response to my letter that I sent stating that we are requesting our deposit back and our Agreement of Sale be deemed null and void. Well . . . to no surprise they sent a letter back to me stating that I failed to provide them a letter within our Mortgage Committment Date time and therefore, we are still liable for purchasing the property. I sent the paperwork to their office after of Committment date in the contract. Right after everything when down the tubes, I contacted Heather at THP and she had sent me a email stating that our Committment Date would be exteneded to TBD. So needless to say, I forwarded all the emails I sent numerous upon nemerous times trying to get into contact with them asking them for a extension of the date. Then they told me that "Although the time for obtaining a Mortgage Commitment under your Agreement has passed, THP still intends to build your home and will ratify the Agreement if you can obtain a Mortgage Committment. THP and Hendricks Morgage are willing to work with you in that regard. Ha what a joke. How can they build homes if no one is going to finance them?! I suppose they expect us to sit around until 2030 waiting for them to start building again. What a JOKE! Screw you THP and your attorney's!

Talked to dave today. Same old same old. All he would say is that it looks promising that they will get a deal in principle with a bank in the near future. But thats only in principle, then the lawyer's have to write it up and it would be submitted. Still wouldn give me a timeline. So im just guessing another month till we see anything in court. Guess what? We dont have another month!!!!

Default I don't get it.

It's been four months.

And school is starting like in a week or two.

Who can wait at this point?

Unless you are a bachelor with no current lease / contract / home or your house is one of those initial 9 or so, how can you be expected to wait around?

If I had a choice, I would hand back the keys.

The mess that THP left behind and continues to leave behind is disgusting. It's a disservice to the "new hope" of Montgomery County.

Just take a look at the work live units (speaking of my development).

They couldn't wrap them at least before they went under? Or any of the other incomplete homes?

Overgrown land, unkept grounds, incomplete homes, safety issues... It's disgraceful honestly.

The whole "it's only what the courts tell us we can do" crap is wearing thin too.

You don't know if you don't ask.

And if they won't, perhaps someone else will.

I paid for a walk through. I paid for a complete home. And warranty. And service. And everything else.

I don't have any of it.

And I don't plan to rest until I do.
