Default Liens must be on my mind today...

As I come home and look around at all of the incomplete things left behind and am reminded of my liens due to THP's inabilities to pay their bills...

I came back to look at this cut off date.

Sure, maybe it was picked out at random... Or, maybe with a little fore thought...

Or, perhaps, a LOT?

Being someone that is looking forward to the magical six month marker, I understand what that means for liens. That's the time frame to file within.

I am sure THP understands this concept as well.

Coincidence?

Perhaps.

But jeez, can we reap some of the benefits of this great planning ahead as well that THP seems to be doing for themselves?!?

In other words, if bankruptcy stops the clock (stay), and the last invoice date to THP was somewhere right around the original filing... Is it a coincidence the cutoff date is right around the 6 month marker?

These are the things you are reminded of when your house is incomplete and you are paying in full with interest every month for things you don't have.

"We are working diligently with vendors and lenders to develop a restructuring plan that includes an agreement by the mechanics lien holders to release liens against completed homes. Our discussions have been encouraging, and we intend to see that all legal action is taken to ensure that no homeowner is unfairly burdened by these liens. We continue to specifically address this issue in our discussions. Our goal is to reach the best possible outcome for all parties as soon as possible."

Note : I am not a lawyer. Any information received from a post is just that - information. It is not legal advice.
