Default Good Guy

I saw Ken working as a volunteer Marshall @ the US Open @ Saucon. He was a good guy to deal with!

Now not to play devils advocate here but lets just realize on thing it said he didn't put in the complaint in till may. After he lost his job. A year after they started doing it. As well as after he was laid off with lost pay. And yes he did still at least file the complaint and give a statement so he still gets some kudos for that.

Default The biggest question...

While I understand where you're going with that... I'm not even going to refute it..... But, what I would be interested in knowing is...

Why?

Why was the policy changed?

Default One must realize

This was not a problem that developed overnight..This was what I feel was a last ditch effort, there Picketts Charge if you will. While working for them, I saw things from when I first started till the end, go from a poorly run business to just down right awful. It should not be question of why, but rather why did it get to this point? And to answer that would take me many pages of typing and that would just hurt my fingers..But how do you restructure with the same people from a group that let it fail the first time...THP during my time openly admitted they did not hire for expertise or know how, but rather as cultural match(How I got there is just amazing, because I did not match.) So you see, it started from the top, and thier poor management style caught up to them in the end.

....and quite honestly, is what's killilng them in the end. That same swagger is undoubtedly impeding their restructuring efforts and keeping the rest of us from being made whole.

I'm not sure if Ken was there at the end. I noticed months, maybe a year, ago, that Ken wasn't at the Whitfield Model office anymore. We walk our dog in front of there everyday around the time they'd be closing the office, so you get very familiar with who was there and who wasn't after a few years. Plus we knew which car was his, and it was no longer there, as well. He could have moved to another development sales office, I'm not sure. But, AND I'M JUST HYPOTHESIZING HERE, maybe he left, unhappy with the way they were running the business and/or to a better paying job, thinking "I'm getting out of here before things get worse". And not, "I'm totally going to screw with these guys". Should he filed the complaint earlier? Sure. But of all the people that worked for THP that knew this practice occurred, he's the only one (so far) that did, so I agree, kudos to Ken.

Default Ken

I agree. I live on Whitfield and noticed that Ken's car wasn't around for quite a while. I tried emailing him late '08 to touch base and didn't get a response. So he was probably gone long before any of this went down. He is a very good guy. Ken, if you read this - lot 35. Please respond privately. Would like to keep in touch.

"We are working diligently with vendors and lenders to develop a restructuring plan that includes an agreement by the mechanics lien holders to release liens against completed homes. Our discussions have been encouraging, and we intend to see that all legal action is taken to ensure that no homeowner is unfairly burdened by these liens. We continue to specifically address this issue in our discussions. Our goal is to reach the best possible outcome for all parties as soon as possible."

Heard back today.

It looks like at least my case is under the same representation as the individual named in the article.

I guess it is being handled as a group there as well.
