I have not explored NJ but what part of Jersey are you looking at.... I know a builder out in NJ that is a customer home builder.

Sorry again to all, this situation sux!!!!
We're in Winslow area, Camden County. There are several other builders right there...we just don't feel like dealing w/ the new build stuff again...who knows even the BEST & most financially secure builder could go under too.

Plus, there are 3 houses that we're interested in that are all 2 years old, so we MAY be ok.

This was received about 10 minutes ago from THP.

Hi Mike-THP has filed Chapter 11, which does allow us to restructure. We are hoping to have more information in the next week/week ½ in terms of timeframes of communities reopening. As soon as we get any information, we will be in contact.

Thank you so much for your email, patience and understanding.

Definitley the best deal I have seen out there. We purchased a townhome. Not only were we able to get a lot of the things we were looking for but it gave us more flexibility and it had decent size rooms. It's hard to find what we were looking for. My husband and I have looked at resale and the prices that they have the homes listed at and the condition that the homes are in are just crap. You have to put 20k into it just to make it look decent.

two quick things... Just got off the phone with Heather, she told me that they field chapter 11, as I was aware... and that there is two volunteers still her and one other person making phone calls and answering emails. She also said that it is up to the court now to see about ammend contracts or giving any new incentives to homebuyers that are waiting to hear answers.

She said that they should know more in a week to a week and half, but if anything changes they have a list and will be contacting people. Right now they are waiting to make sure the banks and debtors are all on board and the courts allow everything.

Second thing:

I agree we looked at other properties that are smaller and not as nice for a lot more money without a lot of the incentives. While I would have loved to not be involved in this mess, I think I'm still better off waiting for this property as it is biger, nicer and more cost effective then the others I've seen (both new and used homes).

Good luck everyone!!!
